Thermaltake st0005u driver windows 1011/13/2022 ![]() ![]() Reinstalled OS X Snow Leopard (10.6.4) from my original DVD. Drive came up, and I was able to do a clone of my hard disk before trying the next thing:Ĥ. Borrowed a SATA to USB cord, and plugged same hard drive directly into the problem iMac - worked. Ran Onyx on problem computer, and everything seemed to repair properly.ģ. This lead me to believe that the problem was almost certainly software related.Ģ. Came up within seconds in disk utility and finder. Thermaltake st0005u driver windows 10 update#Plugged the dock with hard drive into my macbook pro at work (running Snow Leopard 10.6.8 - same operating system, same update as the problem one) - and it worked perfectly. Okay, so I've tried a few other things, but still no joy.ġ. I'd be very grateful for any ideas anyone has. I've tried multiple USB ports, all of which are working for other devices properly.Īre there ways to force Disk Utility to find an attached drive? I've got the Debug menu unlocked, and nothing there has been helpful. ![]() I'm a fairly new Mac user, but wonder if there is something that is blocking the drive from being picked up (it's a USB 2.0 docking station). I've tried using Applejack to repair the harddrive and permissions when I thought it was because I hadn't unmounted it properly on the PC, I've cleared the NVRAM, I've done an SMC reboot. Thermaltake st0005u driver windows 10 mac osx#I've tried formatting the drive as ExFat, FAT32, NTFS (and using software called Tuxera - which is supposed to let Mac OSX work with NTFS), and even as Mac format (though this was from a piece of PC software).Īs it stands now, even after multiple reboots I can never get the harddrive to show up in Disk Utility or Finder, though it does show that the docking station is connected under System Profiler. Originally, it was mostly coming up in Disk Utility, but sometimes not. Long story short, I've tried a lot of different things, and only once did the drive mount to be seen in Finder, but not properly. This didn't work on the Mac (OSX 10.6.8). I'm trying to connect two different new 2TB internal harddrives to an iMac (2010) with an external docking station (Themaltake BlackX).Īfter connecting the dock with an unformatted harddrive in it, I connected it to a Windows XP PC, and formatted it in Fat32. ![]()
